2021 National Blue Ribbon School – Ashton Elementary School

The Cumberland School Department is proud to announce Ashton Elementary School has been designated a National Blue Ribbon School.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students are excelling with high learning standards, or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap. Ashton Elementary is being applauded as an exemplary achievement gap closing school.

Quote from Principal Karbonik – “This recognition is a credit to the hard work of the faculty and the entire school community.  Our teachers are diligent in ensuring students have the support they need to reach proficiency. Our students are working hard and our families are very supportive.  It is that partnership and the support system created within the school that have led us to this achievement. We are honored to receive the Blue Ribbon School Recognition and we are proud of everyone in our community.”
