Building/Field Use, Fundraisers, & Flyers
All requests for the use of school buildings and fields, fundraising, and flyer distribution need to be approved by my office. All building/field use needs to be cleared with the building principal, fire department, police department, and town licensing department. We are currently working with the town hall to develop an electronic application system to alleviate the run-around. Once that system is up and running I will share an update and a link will be added to our website. Any requests received on outdated applications will be returned to the sender for update.

Ribbon Cuttings
Ashton School celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its playground on September 19th. Students are overjoyed with the new playground. The final touch at Ashton is in the works with the installation of fencing.
The ribbon cutting for the new Cumberland Preschool Center is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8th, at 4:00 PM, and for Community School on Wednesday, October 15th, at 5:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. We are excited to show off the completed projects.
Flu Clinic Reminder
The first of three community flu clinics is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8th, from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Cumberland High School Cafeteria. To preregister, visit schoolflu.com. Click here for a list of additional clinics.
BCI Check Reminder
Last chance until February to get your BCI applications to your building secretaries. They must be submitted by Tuesday, the end of the school day, to be processed. Please print the application double-sided, bring an original ID, and $5.00. Reach out to your student’s school secretary with any questions.
