Who We Are

The C-SEAC is a parent-led committee working to foster open communication among parents, teachers,
administrators, and the Cumberland School Committee regarding special education supports and services
provided to children in the Cumberland School System.

What We Do

The C-SEAC meets regularly throughout the school year to discuss and advise on:
● Special education services and programs
● Unmet needs of children receiving special education services through the Cumberland School System
● Local compliance with state and federal laws, and regulations

How to Get Involved

Attend a Meeting:

The C-SEAC meets a minimum of four times during the school year. Every C-SEAC meeting is open to the
public and all are welcome to participate. Meeting information will be available through the C-SEAC website,
the C-SEAC Facebook group, email list, The Valley Breeze, as well as your school’s office and the Cumberland
Special Services Office. To find out more information or join our email list, please contact the C-SEAC at
CumberlandSEAC@gmail.com.

Become a Member:

To become a member you must complete a membership enrollment form and attend meetings on a regular basis.
Only C-SEAC members hold voting rights. Voting allows members to decide which activities the C-SEAC will
address during the school year.
Non-member participants may attend meetings, give input, and sit on subcommittees but may not participate in
a formal vote.
